Our fantastic Autumn term

Autumn calls for Harvest time.  We rolled up our sleeves and learnt to become expert bread makers.  It was important to leave our bread to rise before baking it; our freshly baked rolls were delicious at snack time.

Our main topic was Celebrations.  We loved exploring some of the world’s religions and cultures.  Having visitors explain to us how Hindus and Muslims celebrate was really engaging and we enjoyed further explored our new knowledge and understanding in our role play and art work.

In the second half of Autumn term, with the children so settled, we were all astounded to see the children so maturely learn their lines, songs and dances for the Nativity play Hey Ewe!  We cannot put into words how proud we were of the children in all their performances.
